G-Nome

I think there’s some unspoken rule that says if you see a garden gnome then you know the owner in question is serious gardener with a distinct lack of taste! Except in my case where I am now the official proud owner (thanks to Ulles and Meesh and their exceptional good taste) of a very distinguished ‘gotta take a poo’ gnome! Isn’t he lovely? 

Ha bloody ha - you're both so sharp you'll cut yourselves.

If you can't be sensible I shall name him George (a fine old English name) or Geronimo or, maybe even, George Geronimo Gnome.

What about 'dump'?

Maybe 'Stoolie'?!

Now I like Lano's suggestion except the gnome's name should Stig
(for the uninitiated) as in Stig of the Dump.

Mater: I'll represent the uninitiated -wotdafuk is the/a 'Stig of the Dump'?.

It's a children's book of that name. Stig is an ogre who lives in a waste refuse site i.e. Stig of the Dump. He's a v. friendly ogre, not at all frightening so you'd quite enjoy the books about him! I'm assuming it must be an English book but all I know is there has been a tv series about his stories - look him up and get to know more.

Sorry folks, wrong information given. I called Stig an "ogre" whereas, in fact, he's a pre-historic man who finds himself living on a modern rubbish tip and thinks he has is in absolute heaven.
I've just awoken from my afternoon siesta and Stig jumped into my brain and I thought, oh my God, I've given out totally wrong information. I didn't know how to eliminate the last entry so you're just going to have to read through this claptrap to discover the truth.
My apologies for leading everyone astray. Mater x

This guy is doing a good fertilizing job in your herb garden so what about Ferti or Pooy ?

Your basilica is missing pot ground, filling pots till the top let the plant produce more roots thus resulting in a more healthy plant and better crops. Herbs, he!

Bon weekend,

I'd like to call him Dumps.
So that once in a while I can say:
"hey, look! Dumps is going off!"

Sharon, better follow Chris' tips... he sounds like he knows what he's talking about... ;-)

What a brilliant entry from naming gnomes to horticultural advice.
Just call him Shitface and be finished with it! (I think that might be a Yorkshire expression).
